This piece was completed in my Narrative Structure (taught by Jax Jocson), Quantitative Principles 2 (taught by Lance Winkle), and VFX for Games (taught by Brandon Zhao) classes at Gnomon. I am responsible for all aspects of the scene aside from flipbooks and noise maps from Brandon Zhao. The portal is rigged in Maya and animated using MEL expressions. The portal VFX and God Ray's are Niagara Systems with noise maps and flipbooks from Brandon Zhao. This environment utilizes tileable materials, RGB masking, and Unreal's layered material blending system.
